Wild at Heart, by John Eldridge focuses on what it means to be a real Christian man in today’s society. Unfortunately, the church usually sells men on the idea of being really nice guys, which essentially kills a man’s spirit. A lion is meant to be wild and fierce, yet if you look at any lion in captivity, they are typically docile and bored. They represent only a shell of their full potential. Many times bored, docile men without vision are locked up by their own fears of inadequacy, but unlike the lion they are there by their own choosing.
